Kaine is a Partner at SAVAS Management and the Managing Director of SAVAS Korea. As former Deputy Director of Korea’s Financial Services Commission (FSC) he has an ideal background for implementing cross-border investment strategies. A lawyer who practiced in the U.S. and Hong Kong, Kaine represented major companies like Samsung, LG, KKR Citibank and Mitsubishi.
Alan is a Partner of SAVAS Management and the Managing Director of SAVAS Capital. He previously founded VC investor Digital Entertainment Ventures (DEV), formed the DEV Korea Discovery Fund and was Co-Founder of Global Alternative Asset Manager, Redbadge Pacific. Prior, he was CEO of MediaNet, an entertainment streaming company, and an executive at Viacom’s MTV Networks
Brian is one of two Portfolio Managers focusing on sourcing high performing U.S. managers and structuring funds. After earning his Ph.D at MIT, Brian held various positions including Co-Founder of AIA, a $4.5b liquid Alts mutual fund firm, Head of Research at Bay Hill Capital, and Co-Founder and PM of North Peak Asset Management.
Michael co-leads the SAVAS investment team and works closely with Brian on portfolio management. Previously Michael was co-founder of AIA responsible for business management, SVP of Alternative Investments at Fidelity Investments, Co-Head of Defined Contribution at Wellington Management and a Co-Founder of North Peak Asset Management.
Mathew oversees research and daily operations, applying investment guidelines provided by Korean institutional investors to help identify prospective managers. He was previously the Director of Research and Innovation at Fidelity Investments, Investment Director at Wellington Management, and Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for BARRA Rogers Casey.
Brian is responsible for collaborating with the investment team to package high-quality investment products for SAVAS. He previously was a Portfolio Advisor for Wellington Management, the Founder and President of Guck International, and served as an Associate professor of Economics at Bryant University.
Steve leads SAVAS’s marketing and communications, drawing on his extensive financial marketing background. Steve previously managed Strategic Marketing for North Peak Asset Management and served as a Sub-advisory Portfolio Advisor for Wellington Management.
